División territorial del trabajo (redes viales y acueductos)
PICIFFyH
(Silveira, 2001, p.163).

Title
Territorial Division of Labor (Road Networks and Water Pipelines)
Abstract
The recent expansion of networks in Córdoba province has an effect on the forms and contents of the region. It also defines new territorial divisions of labor, with homogenizing regulations and a market that constrains them to decisions made in other geographical locations. The irregularities of the past are embedded within the forms, emerging from a principle of spatial selectivity. The research focuses on the road networks and water pipelines laid across the province of Córdoba, examining their material and social realities, as well as the logistics and inertia linked to the territorial division of labor. To that end, specific geographical situations within the province were selected to analyze and understand the changes resulting from the provincial government's construction of new road networks and water pipelines. This research is grounded in the understanding that ""a geographical situation is the result of the impact produced by a cluster of events on a place, which encompasses both material and organizational elements. Somehow, that cluster distorts the place, causing it to take on a new form"" (Silveira, 2001, p. 163).
