Metafísica procesual en Whitehead
PICIFFyH

Title
Process Metaphysics in Whitehead
Abstract
This study investigates Whitehead's “intermediate period” work with the aim of finding turning points in his conception of nature, considering in particular the metaphysical and epistemological implications of his diagnosis of his earlier conceptions , contemporary perspectives in the philosophy of science, and those arising from the history of philosophy and mathematics. The main objective of this investigation is to produce a glossary of coded terms and possible interpretations of the vocabulary used by Whitehead in order to trace the genealogical line of ideas and terms that begin to take shape in his early and intermediate work before becoming manifest in his major work, Process and Reality (1929). This project thus addresses fundamental questions regarding the nature of reality, the relationship between philosophy and science, and the suitability of our metaphysical frameworks for understanding a dynamic and constantly evolving universe. By focusing on both historical development and contemporary relevance, it bridges scholarship and active philosophical engagement with ongoing scientific research.
