Lecturas, lectores y contextos educativos

Title

Readings, Readers and Educational Contexts

Abstract

This project aims to investigate common issues to language teaching and literature teaching, building on previous research processes. This instance involves the formation of a team that will allow further exploration of topics related to reading practices in educational contexts, while also fostering the development of specific topics and discussions belonging to distinct areas. Our main objective is to continue developing a pedagogy that is concerned with reconstructing knowledge in schools and classrooms; a pedagogy that reinterprets theory, in our case, theories of reading, and transforms it. We ask: how can theory be made functional for understanding practice? What are the particularities of that practice, so as to reinterpret theory and intervene more effectively in it? In our case: what aspects of reading instruction practices in schools enable us to rethink reading itself? These questions are the starting point for developing theoretical contributions and actions that contribute to making the study of reading in diverse and heterogeneous educational contexts more complex, acknowledging that our contributions are intertwined with concrete and situated practices.
